Fair travelling - for a new holiday climate If Tourism were a country, it would be the fifth largest greenhouse gas producer. The biggest climate headache is air travel: if this - as insiders foresee - continues its annual 3 % increase , all other implemented CO2 reduction measures would be neutralised. The revised climate crisis forecast would be even darker than the worse case scenario predicted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Do you really want to enjoy your vacation, relax, go sunbathing? You might find a holiday destination nearby. Explore your own neighbourhood, towns and places in your radius. Finally take those photos which you have been putting off. Take pictures of your environment and show them to other people.

Long distance trips should be an exception. Get some inspiration from internet websites in your region of the world. Or call the tourist information office or other local agencies.
